Who should use Permanent cosmetics?

Are your eyebrows genetically sparse? Do you have little or no eyebrows hair due to over tweezing or a medical condition? Would you like more defined eyebrows or perhaps a little ‘brow lift’ without a surgery?

If your answer is Yes, then Gloria has the solution for you!

Can Permanent makeup replace conventional makeup?

Permanent Makeup easily replaces perfectly applied traditional makeup on the brows and eyes, offering a great alternative to the tiresome routine of makeup application! Also known as Semi-Permanent Makeup, Cosmetic Tattooing, Micro-Pigmentation and Permanent Cosmetics, Permanent Makeup involves the artistic implantation of the highest grade pharmaceutical pigments into the dermal layer of the skin, creating a beautiful natural shape, color and texture, looking just as a flawlessly applied makeup would be… all day, every day! Do not confuse Permanent Makeup – with the Traditional Tattoo! Permanent makeup looks natural! Permanent makeup does not mean it is forever…like the tattoo would be.

Permanent Eyebrow Makeup

Semi-Permanent Makeup of Brows

Eyebrow Microblading – $550
(consultation with a patch test 24hrs prior service plus ~2hrs procedure)

Microblading Touch Up – $150
(maybe required within 45 days for best results)

During the consultation Gloria tells you in detail about the procedure, provides the after care instructions, and answers all your questions. 24hrs prior  procedure, she will also perform a patch test with the chosen pigment. If you experience any sort of reaction to the pigment such as redness, inflammation and swelling she might choose an alternative type of pigment.

Gloria designs the eyebrows together with you. So you will never have the shape that you did not want. Normally, Gloria asks to show a photo of how you wear you eyebrows daily, what your preferred shape and color is, and what work of Gloria you like the most. After learning about your preferences, Gloria gives you an advice on how the shape of your brows can be improved based on your natural shape and individual face features. Gloria builds the eyebrows symmetry with the Golden Mean Caliper or a special ruler based on the Golden Rule from Fibonacci Numbers. It’s an ancient study of creating the perfect symmetry and beauty proportions in face.

Gloria recommends matching the color of pigment to your eyebrows natural hair color or to your head natural hair color. If you prefer slightly different color or tone than your natural, Gloria will follow your request. A large color palette from Light Blond and Warm Brunette to Magic Black is provided for you to choose. The color will always appear 40% darker on the first week of healing. So we recommend choosing a slightly darker tone to begin with. The colour fades significantly after brows are healed in 7-10 days.

Gloria’s colors do not change into red, blue or any other color like in the tattooed eyebrows. This is due to the fact that we use very expensive only cosmetic or pharmaceutical pigments developed only for facial skin and not for the chemical body tattoo ink.

The procedure with us is painless, however, minor discomfort maybe experience during application of topical anesthetic. If you used to take Aspirin, Advil, and Ibuprofen with other permanent makeup professionals to alleviate the pain during the procedure, STOP! Most of Gloria’s clients listen to music, relax or sleep during the procedure. Local topical gel anesthetic is used for numbing the eyebrow area. The anesthetic is applied several times during the procedure to provide continues comfort for the client during the entire procedure. After the procedure minor and temporary redness may be experienced. The redness goes away within 5-10 minutes after the procedure. The client does not feel pain after the procedure is completed. Minor tenderness in the brow area may be expected on the first day.

The procedure is done with Micro-Stroking technique, using “Natural Hair Flow” method where individual hairs are implanted into the skin to imitate the real hair growth. The hair strokes of pigment are implanted under the top layer of epidermis with highest precision and accuracy. Different from the tattooed eyebrows procedure that gives flat, unnatural permanent eyebrows, Gloria’s semi-permanent eyebrows procedure is very easy on skin and does not damage the skin as the old tattooed brows.

In this procedure, Gloria is able to create some of the finest hair strokes and blend them in a way that creates an amazing illusion of Natural Hair Flow. Each person hair flow is different. Gloria creates a custom match of real hairs’ flow for every client.

The result of the procure is Semi-Permanent which means the result goes away entirely in one to two years if no touch ups are performed.

On average the procedure takes up to 2 hours. Gloria takes time with every client. This is facial procedure and there is no place for rush when it comes to creating a delicate and precise ‘piece of art’ eyebrows on your face. Unlike some permanent makeup artists who may promise you to do the entire procedure in maximum 40 minutes, Gloria believes that time is the key to the success of her work. Please, have three hours available for your appointment.

Only high-grade pharmaceutical or cosmetic pigments of leading American and European manufacturers are used. Only pigments that are specifically manufactured for Semi-Permanent Makeup are used. Only disposable materials are used in the procedure. No cheap or chemical tattoo ink of Chinese manufacturers is used.

How many procedures are required to achieve the best result?

On average an initial procedure and a touch up or two are required to perfect. The number of touch ups varies based on the following factors:

Immune System

Skin primary function is protecting its body from insertion of outer matter. When skin is broken, the immune system sees the pigment as an allergen and rejects it. The skin does not reject all the pigment. On average it can reject anywhere from 10% to 30% of pigment. Therefore a touch up in most cases is required.

The procedure is not recommended for pregnant and breast-feeding women because their immune system works harder and the pigment retention can be poorly affected.

Skin Type

Oily skin tends to have less pigment retention because of increased sebum production of the sebaceous glands and the thickening tendency of stratum corneum.

Life-Style and Hygiene

Factors such as saunas/steam rooms, sun exposure, peels or treatments, accelerate the cell regeneration process and decrease semi-permanent make-up durability and pigment retention.

Health Factor

Poor health conditions may affect pigment implantation and retention.
